Privacy Policy

What we collect
mybestgame.lol collects the minimum data needed to operate the leaderboard. When you contribute, you may optionally provide a display name (handle). We do not require or store your email address. If you voluntarily enter text that looks like an email, it will be stored as your display name. Your IP address is processed transiently for rate limiting and Cloudflare Turnstile verification but is not persisted in our database.
Payment data
All payments are processed by Polar.sh. We do not see, store, or have access to your credit card number, billing address, or other payment PII. Polar handles PCI compliance and payment security. We receive only a payment confirmation, order ID, and the metadata we attached (contribution ID, game ID, amount).
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services: Polar.sh for payment processing; IGDB (via Twitch/Amazon) for game data; Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. Each service has its own privacy policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Cookies and local storage
mybestgame.lol does not set first-party tracking cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a functional cookie required for bot verification. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.
Data displayed publicly
If you provide a display name, it will be shown publicly on the leaderboard, activity feed, plaques, and contributor lists. If the name looks like an email address, we partially mask it (e.g., ab•••@domain.com). You can contribute as Anonymous by leaving the name field empty.
Data retention
Contribution records (display name, contribution amount, game, timestamps) are retained for the lifetime of the service for leaderboard integrity and audit purposes. Expired contributions (30-day expiry) remain in our database with 'expired' status.
Your rights (GDPR / KVKK)
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing privacy@mybestgame.lol. We will respond within 30 days. Note: deleting contribution data may affect leaderboard history.
Data location
Our database is hosted on infrastructure operated by the service owner. Payment data is processed by Polar.sh in their infrastructure.
